At tearmann care it is our goal to have all care staff who work within the home to be fully trained in TCI. Preventing and managing crisis effectively requires everyone’s involvement, At tearmann care we are a trauma informed organisation and TCI is spread across all parts of our organisation.

What kind of help and how i.t is given makes a crucial difference between the child’s learning from the experience or being set back. TCI helps care givers respond to aggressive behaviours in ways that empower children, recognising that aggression may be the result of past trauma.

Our home is designed to create a safe , supportive, and healing environment for children who have experiences trauma, we ensure that our physical space, staff approach and daily structure are all conducive to a therapeutic milieu where children feel heard, valued and safe.
